Worth Knowing
A domestic flight from Entebbe to a park airstrip such as Kasese or Kihihi takes a little over an hour. The equivalent road transfer to western Uganda can run most of a day — useful to know if your trip is short on time.

In Rwanda, a domestic flight from Kigali to Kamembe (for Lake Kivu and Nyungwe) takes around 45 minutes, against a 4-5 hour drive — often worth the fare on a tighter itinerary.

Permit Arrangement
Gorilla and chimpanzee permits sell out during peak months, and both the Uganda Wildlife Authority and Rwanda Development Board require payment well ahead of your trek date. We check live availability, hold your slot, handle payment on your behalf, and send confirmation documents you can simply present at the park. If your dates need to shift, we manage the change directly with the authority.
